Computer science is my major, as I’ve been interested in computers from a very young age. That being said, I do enjoy videogames, genres like role-playing, player vs. player, and life simulation are my go to. I plan on working on my Bachelor’s after my time at BMCC and eventually, if my interest still holds, pursuing law school or a Master’s degree. I look forward to learning more and expanding my perspective with this class and wish everyone the best.

I am extremely interested in geopolitics more specifically the Middle East. I am part of an organization that helps allocate proper resources for those in need from war torn countries such as Syria, Iraq, and Libya. My plans after BMCC are to go to NYU and study Political Science there, and eventually get into international law.
Hi Shanveer, nice to meet you. Your major is very interesting. Geopolitics is important because we can see how conflicts between countries can start wars, especially in key places like the Bab al-Mandab Strait. I’m from Yemen, and I see how many countries are interested in controlling that area. It’s amazing that you are part of an organization that helps people from war torn. Good luck with your plans after BMCC.

Early Childhood Development is a degree that gets so overlooked in Human Services. I love working with children and believe that’s a pivotal age range to either make or break a baby’s cognitive and social responses! It’s a heavy but very rewarding job and I wish you nothing but the best of luck!
Hello class! My name is Lori Brandon and I’m currently majoring in Human Services! My overall career goal is to be a Licensed Social Worker so I am able to advocate for people personally and legally. I volunteer as a youth support specialist and provide housing, job, and immigration information if needed! Nonetheless, I’m very interested in American Politics because I am a firm believer if a country wants to be called the land of the free and the home of the brave, they need to act like it, regardless of personal biases. When I’m not in school or volunteering you can find me djing, playing with my dog Rocky and trying to figure out how many SpongeBob tattoos on one person is too many SpongeBob tattoos (I also do tattoos from time to time!) After Bmcc, I havent planned yet! I’m honestly just very happy to have the privilege of going to college and will face that rabbit when the time comes!
