  • When are you available to meet outside of class?
    • My schedule is flexible, I am available most evenings of the week.
  • Which skills can you bring to the team?
    • Intermediate in Photoshop and Illustrator. Interested in Videography for social media/brand awareness content.
  • Are you comfortable leading or have you led a group team like this before?
    • I am comfortable leading, but I am fluid with the organization of the group. I am also good at going with the flow and stepping up when needed.
  • What is your major?
    • multimedia programming and design.
  • What are your career goals?
    • An ever-evolving designer of many mediums. Giorgia Lupi is a designer I admire and I think her team at pentagram as done great work. I want to learn how to blend data and design. I also want to continue my floral/botanical design projects. For immediate monetary reasons, I would like to make more brand packages for the hospitality/events/real estate industry because that is where I have experience.
  • What grade are you seeking to get on this project?
    • I am seeking an A on this project, and I hope for it to be a strong addition to my portfolio as a completed team campaign. It would be nice to be able to offer the campaign to the cause.
  • Are you the kind of person who works through the semester steadily or seeks to complete everything right before the assessment is due?
    • I find that creatively, I work in spurts throughout the semester, but I will continue to follow the timelines for projects because it pushes me past my creative blocks.
  • What social cause are you interested in? This could be a general subject (i.e: the environment) or a more specific topic (i.e: Cleaning up the Gowanus canal).

Hello! My name is Talia, this is my last semester at BMCC in the multimedia programming and design program. I enjoy art and design in all forms, and I’m looking forward to collaboratively blending multimedia styles in this course with you all. 

4 Things I like to do:

    1.Cooking/Culinary Sorcery! I love spending time trying to make new things and experiencing new cultures through food.

    2. Being outside/in nature/around water. I love being in the woods and near the ocean it is a natural detox and meditation. I find natural textures creatively inspiring. 

    3. Walking in urban spaces- I really enjoy walking through cities and observing architecture, typography, urban landscapes and 3rd spaces. 

    4. Floral Design- i have worked in floral design in the past and am passionate about sustainable botanical design.

    1.Poor Things- Emma Stone

    2.Dances with wolves-watched this at a young age and was very moved by the story, which stayed with me through my life.

    3. Nightmare Before Christmas/time burton style stop motion

    4. The Covenant-not into war movies but this story opened a lot of thought for me. based on a true story

Plans post BMCC graduation: Move to a 4 year school, most likely CUNY. I hope to build a stronger portfolio and get more experience with physical computing and 3d design. I admire Giorgia lupi’s graphic design work and how she blends data with graphics, making the information more digestible for viewers- I hope to do more work like this as well.
