I am Womxn Art Campaign

I am Womxn Art Campaign

Looking for a home for your womxn empowerment artworks? Well look no further! The Women’s Resource Center’s ongoing I am Womxn Art Campaign is launching! Students can create and display their talents and speak through their art! Examples of themes/topics include, but are not limited to: #BLM – Womanhood – Gender Justice – Racial & Ethnic Identity – LGBTQ+ Women’s Health – Intersectionality – Advocacy and more! Submissions will be featured weekly on our social media, with an overall winner picked every month. The monthly winner will be announced via social media, in our newsletter, and will be 1 of 3 finalists for the I am Womxn Art Campaign. The overall winner will be announced at the WRC End of Semester Celebration in December. For questions email wrc@bmcc.cuny.edu. Art work will be judged based on creativity, intersectionality, and themes that must reflect the Women’s Resource Center’s mission, values and goals. Open Call for Submissions Breast Cancer Awareness Exhibit: Self-Love & Desire: Body Image & Sexuality After Breast Cancer The Exhibit aims to raise awareness about breast cancer through promotion of self-love, body-image, acceptance, a reclaiming of bodies and sexuality. It is a tribute to survivors and an invitation to celebrate loving their bodies. Submissions Representing: positive body image, self-love, empowerment, sex positivity for or about those who have survived, passed or are experiencing breast cancer. Submissions will be featured in our Breast Cancer Exhibit from October 10-25 via the WRC Social Media accounts and on the WRC website.
