I am Womxn Art Cam­paign

Look­ing for a home for your womxn em­pow­er­ment art­works? Well look no fur­ther! The Women’s Re­source Cen­ter’s on­go­ing I am Womxn Art Cam­paign is launch­ing! Stu­dents can cre­ate and dis­play their tal­ents and speak through their art! Ex­am­ples of themes/top­ics in­clude, but are not lim­ited to: #BLM – Wom­an­hood – Gen­der Jus­tice – Racial & Eth­nic Iden­tity – LGBTQ+ Women’s Health – In­ter­sec­tion­al­ity – Ad­vo­cacy and more! Sub­mis­sions will be fea­tured weekly on our so­cial media, with an over­all win­ner picked every month. The monthly win­ner will be an­nounced via so­cial media, in our newslet­ter, and will be 1 of 3 fi­nal­ists for the I am Womxn Art Cam­paign. The over­all win­ner will be an­nounced at the WRC End of Se­mes­ter Cel­e­bra­tion in De­cem­ber. For ques­tions email wrc@​bmcc.​cuny.​edu. Art work will be judged based on cre­ativ­ity, in­ter­sec­tion­al­ity, and themes that must re­flect the Women’s Re­source Cen­ter’s mis­sion, val­ues and goals. Open Call for Sub­mis­sions Breast Can­cer Aware­ness Ex­hibit: Self-Love & De­sire: Body Image & Sex­u­al­ity After Breast Can­cer The Ex­hibit aims to raise aware­ness about breast can­cer through pro­mo­tion of self-love, body-im­age, ac­cep­tance, a re­claim­ing of bod­ies and sex­u­al­ity. It is a trib­ute to sur­vivors and an in­vi­ta­tion to cel­e­brate lov­ing their bod­ies. Sub­mis­sions Rep­re­sent­ing: pos­i­tive body image, self-love, em­pow­er­ment, sex pos­i­tiv­ity for or about those who have sur­vived, passed or are ex­pe­ri­enc­ing breast can­cer. Sub­mis­sions will be fea­tured in our Breast Can­cer Ex­hibit from Oc­to­ber 10-25 via the WRC So­cial Media ac­counts and on the WRC web­site.
