From who we are, to what we do, The Ocean Conservancy is a working organization to work and protect the ocean from today’s greatest global challenges. Together, we create evidence based solutions for a healthy ocean and the wildlife and communities that depend on it.
Since 1972, the organization was founded to protect our oceans from polluted plastics, air polluting, oil spills, chemical spills and littering are the most common threats to the oceans and yet it still continues today. Our job at the conservancy is to gather volunteers to help clean, protest for the future and be leaders for the environment. We are pushing for more innovation in our society to recognize that the ocean is part of us as well, whether it’s swimming in the beach or relaxing with friends by the great views, it still harms our marine life as they have a right to live in a home where it’s not polluted by our actions and to give a wider scope of this problem, it is our job to come together and bring hope to our planet.
Being a volunteer and traveler, I am a proud member to represent The Ocean Consevancy group in Washington D.C. and it’s a joy to fight and be the change to our climate that deserves better. Learning from this group of environmentalists, it’s always been a great experience to explore and help diving deep into our oceans and picking up the pollution deep in the ocean floor and it’s an experience I enjoy with individual as we come together from different towns, cities, states and countries to be connected in a world that needs our help more than ever.
Today, we need your help to fight for our environment to show the climate deniers that it exists, with help from the government we have exceeded to bring wind mills, electric power and many more innovation to come for the future but with your help we can reach our goal to have a more cleaner ocean for our marine life to thrive and healthy ecosystem.
