I agree. Because I think college about social life too not just studying. After class going out or chatting with friends. Maybe grab coffee and study together. Create events. I believe this all things make college life more discovery and fun. In zoom unfortunately it’s hard to find same energy and building same friendship.
The corona did not land on us without notice. We began to internalize slowly – sometimes too slowly – but now it is clear that the corona will stay with us for a very long time. There is no choice – you have to try to get organized and get used to it. Most of us were born in an era where there were cars, trains, ships and planes. We quickly got used to the computer, the Internet, and the cell phone because it made our lives easier. This is the first time that we have to get used to a new thing that not only does not make it easier, but complicates and complicates the life we are used to. Like anything new, it elicits agreement and disagreement. First we will refer to the advantages of Zoom learning, it allows people who in addition to studies also work full time the option to really combine both, as well as parents with small children, allows them to learn from home without having to leave their children, or for example people who live far from the educational institution saves them Expensive arrival time.
There are also disadvantages, this requires a lot of learning and self-responsibility. What’s more, there are a lot of distractions at home and this can greatly affect their studies.
In conclusion, I really think it all depends on you, if you have high self-discipline you can leverage this tool of learning from home to good places.
I don’t agree with Zoom crushing students spirit. I think it is up to the student to make the best of everything. In my position school would be impossible without Online classes because I have three young children to take care of and my husband works a full time job and a part time job. This leave us very little time to adapt to scheduling. I understand the professors point of view and do agree that physically being at the school and around other students is better physically and mentally for the student. But, under societies demands and people’s deffrent circumstances in life and possibilities and opertunities for education, being physically in a classroom all the time is not possible for everyone. For this reason I think Online classes on Zoom are the only possible way for some individuals to proceed in education.
Is Zoom Crushing Students’ Spirits?
I don’t think so, I think Zoom helped students learn and made it easier for them. Before distance learning, most people gave up learning because they did not decide to attend because of time or distance. Now learning has become easier. You can get your education from anywhere in the world and at any time. Zoom has opened up more opportunities for learning, so you can now attend any specialty you want and any professor around the world. Zoom did not destroy students, but gave them more options
The lockdown has forced people to have online classes, like Zoom, which has had a major toll on the emotional and mental health of students. It’s difficult to adapt to a new way of learning and the lack of physical presence often creates an imbalance in the learning process. Moreover, the constant distractions at home and the inability to step away from screens make it harder for students to focus on their work. This is why Zoom has become a symbol of crushing spirits for students during this pandemic, as it is a source of stress and anxiety for many. For many students, the transition to online learning has been a hard one. Navigating the new virtual learning environment, as well as adhering to a different set of expectations, has caused a great deal of stress. Zoom, the most popular video conferencing platform, has become the primary hub for these academic conversations. Unfortunately, the conferencing platform has had its own issues, from technical issues to security breaches, that have caused students to feel both overwhelmed and powerless. With the global pandemic of 2020, many educational systems have switched to online platforms such as Zoom. With this drastic change, it has shifted the way students learn, interact and engage with the educational materials. It has raised questions on the efficiency of online learning platforms, such as the psychological impacts on students. Zoom fatigue has been talked about among students, and it is important to discuss how this is affecting students’ spirits.
