“Another Evening at the Club” and ” My Daughter and Apple Pie’ has similar styles when analyzed closely. They both set the tone of how family dynamics can be enhanced with social interactions. In the story in shows the human behaviors and the relationship between the narrator and his daughter. In the other story it shows the impact of a high social class between man and wife. In Carver stories, he tends to leave a sense of mystery involved with Cisnero gives a play by play to let the reader witness the intensity of the story .Cisnero uses a series of literary devices to bring the readers in her story. To be able to feel or express each character’s aurora. carver gave the reader the opportunity to fill the gaps and have the liberty to ask questions. I like how they both involved social behaviors, but they have different approaches to achieving the outlook on social interactions.

I can definitely see the connection between “Another Evening at the Club” and Carver’s story and I like how you pointed out the social interactions of both, didn’t notice that. As far as Carver and Cisneros I also agree with that connection, which was my pick as well in my response. I said they both tend to bring in new character or people, but don’t describe them too much. I chose the vignette when Cisneros was describing her mom and the way she talked and how Carver’s story about his dad showed signs of similar writing styles.
