The best practices for working with families who have infants would located in the the “Culture, Diversity and Equity Video” that spoke about how teachers encourage families to take home books and allow them to write in the book in their own language so that other children can read it when it it returned and allows children to partake in learning that new language. Another practice for working with families who have infants would be asking families from infant programs to record music or nursery rhymes.

The best practices for working with families who have infants is from the video that includes Culture, Diversity and Equality. Because it’s a combination of everything . They take their time to show you how to make them feel comfortable about their culture, how to help them bring their culture into a new one,. Show them that everyone is equal no matter who they are where they came from. They also teach us in how to allow them to share about their values, food, flowers, music, anything that are valuable and helpful to feel comfortable and safe.

I wonder, how would you create an environment that enables a family to share their culture with you? I wonder, how would you being a family’s heritage culture into an infant classroom?
The best practices for working with families who have infants is to understand them and their culture. We have to realize that everyone is different, grew up differently, and has different cultures and practices. We have to reassure them that everyone should be treated equally, but sometimes people have cultural differences and that is completely okay. We have to make them feel comfortable, not force them to change their culture. We have to accept people for who they are and respect their culture.

The best practices for working with families who have infants is to try to learn more about their cultures. Most families are nervous about opening up to others about their beliefs and what they view is sacred. Being welcoming and understanding are both amazing skills to have.

The best practices for working with families who have infants are to keep an open mind in caregiving. There are different customs in other cultures that may vary vastly from western culture in the United States. It is very important to be aware that certain behaviors or actions may not be wrong in a child’s culture. It is important to communicate and build with the families to understand their culture and child on a deeper level. It is important to have an inclusive classroom environment where the child can feel they are visible and included and not feel there is something wrong with them because they are different. Bring culture into the classroom through, books, music, family photos and family experiences into the classroom.
