Module 5 Teaching Infants Activity #2: Self-Reflection

  1. I learned more about the duties of an infant teacher. Infant teachers are more than just babysitters that watch your children during the day . They help shape infants for success , they build trusting relationships that encourage a child’s success.

  2. In this week’s module, I got to learn about the essential qualities of being a teacher. I got to learn how to be a responsive caregiver. The materials from this week will help me better prepare to be an infant teacher because I can always look back at these articles and study the qualities that I need to have to be the best infant teacher I can be.

  3. I learned about keys to quality infant toddler care, and the important things an infant teacher must do to provide a responsive care. The material from this week will help me better prepare to be an infant teacher because I already know the essential qualities, the required health and safety precautions that an infant teacher must follow.

  4. In this Module, after reading the articles, I was able to learn more about the qualities and responsibilities of being an infant teacher. The video “Attachment Theory—Understanding the Essential Bond” was very informative because I could hear from experts, the requirements and techniques that we need to use in order to work with infants. In addition, I was able to understand the important role that caregivers have in the child’s development.

  5. In this weeks module I feel like I learned more about how important those first few connections an infant and or toddler will make with their caregivers. They really do help with the over all process of raising a child. I feel like i know even more about how to connect with and infant and or toddler and skills I can use in the future to help them connect even more.

  6. In the articles of this weeks module I learned the different qualities and responsibilities of becoming an infant teacher. The information given in this module will help me prepare to become a good infant teacher because I will be able to use these qualities and responsibilities.

  7. This week I learned about the qualities an infant teacher needs to while working with infants and how self-care is important because infants can be a handful, having two teachers that are available in the room helps take things under control.

  8. In this week module I learned that being an infant teacher, we have remain clam because depending on the age we decided to teach the infants/toddlers need different type of attention somer require more than the other and etc.
