About Me
Hello every one , My name is Brittney and I am teacher at metro kids preschool. I’ve been working here for 3 years, but I’ve been working with children of all ages for 8 years. I have always had a passion for education and helping others reach their full potential. I believe that being a teacher is one of the most rewarding professions as it allows me to make a positive impact on the lives of students. I want to become a teacher because I want to inspire and motivate students to learn, grow, and succeed in both academic and personal aspects of their lives. After graduation, I plan to pursue a career in teaching at the elementary or middle school level. I want to create a positive and nurturing learning environment where students feel supported and encouraged to reach their goals. I also plan to continue my own education and professional development to stay current with best practices in education and to continuously improve my teaching skills. Additionally, I hope to become involved in extracurricular activities and community outreach programs to further support and engage with my students outside of the classroom. Ultimately, my goal is to help shape the minds and hearts of future generations and make a lasting impact on the world through education.

ECE 210 Social Foundations of Early Care and Education (Spring 2021)

The EC field, particularly in the US, is one fraught with a history of inequity that can be addressed and dismantled with your awareness and actions. Over the course of the semester, we’ll explore the lives, contexts, and contributions of EC pioneers, and lessons that you can apply to your own growing identities as EC teachers. Over the course of this month, I want you to understand your role as advocates for children and families that don’t always have a seat at the table, regardless of where you sit.
