  1. 1)A conflict I was involved in was in high school, in my global class they had paired me and other girls into a group and two of them didn’t get along and they started arguing.

2)The result of the conflict was they started arguing and didn’t get the work done.

3)What the parties could have done to avoid the conflict or de-escalate the conflict was acted mature and let that go and just get the work done, because it was part of their grade.

4)How do you think the following conflicts should be handled:
Jameel’s family is upset & does not feel the infant teacher is giving Jameel enough time to eat because Jameel comes home each day with 2/3 of the lunch uneaten

I think they should communicate with the teacher and ask.

The infant teacher is upset because they have asked Kiara’s mom to bring in more diapers, and Kiara’s family repeatedly forgets

The teacher should talk to her one last time, and tell her if she can set a reminder to bring diapers.

Entisar is upset with her co-teacher Roberto, because Roberto creates all of these messy play activities that leave the classroom and babies very messy

Entisar should talk to him and let him know how he really feels and come to an agreement odn actinides that are less messy.

  2. 1) One conflict that I was involved in was involving a science project in middle school. I had been in a group with two other people to create a poster. They were going to the other group members and keeping the class for long periods of time.
    2) As a result, I ended up doing the project by myself and I couldn’t finish it and I only got half of the credit.
    3) What my group members could’ve done was not leave the classroom until their parts of the projects were done or they could’ve done whatever they had to do before the class started since this was the first class of the day.
    4) I think Jameel’s family should go to the teachers and ask if Jameel can have more time to eat.
Kiara’s mother could set a note to herself to bring a bag of diapers with her when she drops Kiara off at school.
Enistar should talk to Roberto and both of them should come up with some activities that won’t leave the classroom and the babies clean.

  3. 1. Describe a conflict you observed or were involved in.
-I was on my work shift and my two colleagues were fighting because they both wanted to be cashiers and it was impossible to work two doing the same thing. one had to be a cashier and the other a waitress.
    2. What was the result or conclusion of the conflict?
-It the end they manager had to decide who worked as a cashier and who as a waitress.
    3. What could the parties have done to avoid the conflict or de-escalate the conflict?
-They should talked and decide with mature, come to an agreement and
    4. How do you think the following conflicts should be handled:
Jameel’s family is upset & does not feel the infant teacher is giving Jameel enough time to eat because Jameel comes home each day with 2/3 of the lunch uneaten
-They should speak with the teacher and ask the teacher if she/he can give the baby more time to finish his food.
The infant teacher is upset because they have asked Kiara’s mom to bring in more diapers, and Kiara’s family repeatedly forgets
-The teacher should speak with Kiara’s mom one more time or ask her dad if he can do it. The teacher can ask her if she can set a reminder on her phone.
Entisar is upset with her co-teacher Roberto, because Roberto creates all of these messy play activities that leave the classroom and babies very messy
-They should speak and come to an agreement and Robert can explain Entisar the importance of each activity.

  4. 1.- When I started babysitting my baby’s friend, she asked me to feed the baby formula, I followed every direction she gave me, but the baby barely drank her bottle. When she got home, she was very upset, she told me that I must have done something wrong because her baby didn’t want to eat.

2.- I was very upset but I decided to ignore her comments because I knew she was having a hard time, especially because of the separation from her baby. For, I didn’t say anything and I just left the house.

3.- I think, we could have discussed the issue and open up a conversation in order to help to resolve the situation.

4.- In Jameel’s case, I think the infant teacher should have a direct open conversation with the family, discuss the issue, and together help to resolve the problem, share decision making, so the two parties are happy and move forward.
. I think the infant teacher should talk to Kiara’s mom directly, be very empathetic with her, she may ask the mother. Could you help me figure out what can we do so you don’t forget to send Kiara’s diapers?
-Entisar should talk directly with Roberto, he should have an open conversation with him about the issue, so they can try to find a common solution, come up with a collaborative approach and work together.

  5. 1) When I was in the 9th grade I had a group assignment as my final my groups members didn’t care to do the project so I ended up doing the assignment alone.
    2) I let my teacher know what the issue was and he passed me with an additional 10 points added to m grade
3)I would let jameels family know how much time he has an assure them i will be giving him more time to eat.
b-The teacher can have a conversation with the child’s mother and maybe ask her if
it would be ok if she reminded her in the morning before she dropped the baby off.
c-I would have a conversation with y co-worker to let him know how i am feeling and ask if he could try to be clean up after himself.

  6. 1. I observed a child with a dirty shirt on, and the parents had not provided an extra clean one. The infant teacher spoke to the parents.

    2. The parents were asked to provide more clothing.

    3. The situation did not turn into a conflict because of the way the infant teacher approached the topic and explained its importance.

4.The teacher and Jameel’s parents should discuss a scheduled feeding time that will work for him. The teacher should accommodate Jameel as he eats a little slower than the other children.

The infant teacher should calmly discuss the importance of Kiara’s hygiene, and offer her a reminder whether it might be through a text or phone call.

Entisar needs to communicate the importance of a clean classroom environment, while respecting Roberto’s style of teaching. She can ask him if it’s possible to end his class a little earlier so there is time for him to clean.
