Rebecca Stallworth, PhD

Dr. Rebecca Stallworth is Assistant Professor at Simmons. Her research areas include marginalized groups and their use of academic library services and resources, diversity in academic libraries, and first-generation graduate students and their information-seeking behaviors. Before joining the faculty at Simmons University, she worked as an Information Services Librarian in the Jennifer Ann Wilson Dental Library at the University of Southern California.

Laurie Fladd, PhD

Dr. Laurie Fladd most recently was the director of holistic student supports at Achieving the Dream. In this role, Laurie was responsible for the strategic leadership and implementation of ATD’s services related to holistic student supports, advising redesign, and transformative institutional change.  The role also involved assisting colleges in improving the student experience through the intentional development of scalable comprehensive support services.

Africa Hands, PhD

Dr. Africa S. Hands is an assistant professor in the Department of Information Science at the University at Buffalo. Her research focuses on three areas: social capital and the graduate/doctoral student experience, the experiences of first-generation students, and public library support of college-bound patrons. Dr. Hands has experience working with undergraduate and graduate students in the areas of admissions, recruitment, and academic advising.  

Dallas Long, PhD

Dr. Dallas Long is Dean of University Libraries at Illinois State University. His expertise is in academic affairs/student affairs collaborations. He is also a former student affairs professional with experience in residential life/housing. He holds a PhD in education from Illinois State University and master’s degrees in college student personnel and library science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Kim McKinsey-Mabry, EdD

Dr. Kim McKinsey-Mabry is a passionate advocate for student-centered community colleges. Recently she was Special Assistant to the President at Monroe Community College. Prior to this, Kim served as Acting Provost & Vice President, Academic and Student Affairs; Acting Vice President, Student Services; Dean, Schools of Business & Community Engagement; and Interim Dean of Academic Services. Dr. McKinsey-Mabry holds an EdD from St. John Fisher University, a MBA from Metropolitan College of New York, a BS from SUNY Empire State College, and an AS from Monroe Community College.
