Our Unit 2 Assignment will apply students’ understanding of the purpose and process of building a SWOT Analysis. Instead of finding a business to evaluate, students will look internally and perform a SWOT analysis on themselves! Then, classmates will view each others’ SWOT analysis and provide feedback and comments, where they are encouraged to note similarities.
Here are the steps students should take to complete this assignment:
- Watch this video from MindTools about creating a personal SWOT and read the article that accompanies the video.
. - Click here to access an editable PDF (or here to download it) that you can populate with your own strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
. - Save your completed SWOT analysis and add your full name to the file. Then, follow this guide to create a new post, and add in your assignment so that classmates can view and comment on your submission. Select “SWOT Assignment” as the Category. All submissions will populate under the Student Work menu item (Student Work > SWOT). Students should review others’ submissions and comment meaningfully (refer to this guide from MMSU for reference) to at least two other students. For reference, here is the difference between a comment and a post — you will be using both for this assignment.
Here are some SWOT Analysis examples for your reference.
