- What do you think is the most demotivating part of Harper’s job?
I think what is happening is that Harper is doing more work than usual, which is why she feels like she is always doing something, she is no longer feeling part of the work team.
- If you were an HR manager meeting with Harper’s supervisor, David, what advice would you give to help them re-engage Harper?
I would advise Harper’s new manager (David) to have clearer expectations of what he wants his workers to do or expects them to do and good communication with his employees to strengthen the ties of commitment with managers, and superiors and make them feel that are an important part of the company
- What would be the downside of losing Harper as an employee?
The problem is that if Harper resigns from his Harper job, according to my understanding of how the company is being run, it would fall on the other employees to find another worker, which would lead to demotivation for the other workers. Therefore, it would cause other employees to also resign. It is not that they cannot be replaced, but in the time that new prospects are found, the work of those who have resigned would fall to the other workers.
