Retention Assignment-Jada Hunter

1)I think the most demotivating part of Harper’s job is that her new boss makes no time to make sure that she is appreciated at her job. The boss also doesn’t check on her to see if she is okay with her workload.

2)If I was an HR manager i would tell David to help Harper feel appreciated after she does a task a simple thank you will suffice from David. David could also provide Harper with workshop opportunities to help advance her career.

3)The downside of losing Harper as an employee is that productivity and morale can go down if harper is gone. Harper’s is also a huge loss for the company because losing Harper mean they have to find another employee and train them which cost much more than Harper’s salary altogether.

Marketing Assignment-Jada Hunter

When i started makeup back in 2019 my biggest concern i pretty sure most people would agree with me about making makeup lasting long hours. Of course, most ads who advocate for makeup lasting longer than other brands by showing the time between they applied the makeup to 16 hours later.4 year later I still struggle with making my makeup lasting especially since I sweat a lot despite the cold weather. However recently as in two months ago I started getting Tik Tok ads for the product ONESIZE especially the primer and setting spray and even got a Tik Toker who was friend with the creator for ONESIZE and his makeup was flawless. I dismissed it despite that until the actual creator and the video appeared of him with makeup on and dunking himself underwater. Since that advertisement I have been trying out their products and extremely satisfied for the benefits of lasting makeup. If that ad didn’t show the creator dunking himself in water an extreme way to show off his setting spray I definitely wouldn’t even, consider the brand. This product satisfied and solved my problem of makeup melting off after a few hours.

1.What makes ray croc different from the bothers?

What makes ray croc different from the brothers is that he had a bigger dream of expanding the restaurant globally and turning into a franchise know worldwide. While the brother focused on just improving the one restaurant.

2.Do you think the McDonald’s brothers did the right thing by selling out to Ray Kroc? Did Ray Kroc give the brothers a good deal?

Although Mcdonalds became a big restaurant it was not the right thing for the McDonalds brothers to sell out to Ray Croc because they end up losing out on all that money due to the unfair deal.

3.How did the local store franchisees make money?

The local franchisees made money buy teaching the methods while the location and equipment was already there. McDonalds was run independently was easier to make money by cutting the cost mainly of the bult in walk in freezer essentially everything was run effectively when putting all those ice cream crates in the restaurant. The only people they had to pay really was the franchise owners and owner.

4.How did Kroc make money? How was that different than the franchisees, running the local stores?

Kroc made money by expanding McDonalds through franchisees and charging monthly rent to them to run McDonalds which he later made enough to buy McDonalds from the brothers. This was different from the franchisees running the local stores by they would receive profit by the actual customers transaction through their sales of food. So, they must uphold responsibilities in order to earn profit day to day.

5.Does this film change your view of McDonald’s?

This film definitely changes my view of Mcdonalds because to be honest before learning business the whole system in college i only saw it as a cheap fast-food place to eat at for the convenience and the center of all fast-food places. Now studying business, I see McDonalds as really historical way to run a business that really invented the standard.

Ethical Assignemnt-Jada Hunter

As soon as I saw the topic for this assignment, the first company that came to mind was SHEIN.A popular Chinese based company from clothes to household items it has everything I need for much less.

SHEIN is an online company remarkably successful towards generation z and with its sudden up rising fame comes the controversy claims. The biggest concerns people had about their company was their prediction to fashion and closely similar their products are to name brand products, manufacturing and how they are sustaining their company. For this assignment I will focus on the actions they have taken to uphold manufacturing ethically while also responsibly producing products.

SHEIN is known for staying ahead of the fashion industry predicting what could be trending faster than name brand industries do. Therefore, how do they stay so ahead to make the clothes well SHEIN spoke person said unlike everyone’s claims of using ai they use “audience-engagement technology on its site and mobile app to identify trends and determine demand,” the article states. With this though they receive many claims from other industries that they are copying their designs. To combat these accusations, they released a statement denying the claims. However, just words are extremely hard to show as proof they are not doing anything wrong. To better improve their reputation overall due to multiple accusations they should provide documentation and original drawings from their designers.

A huge scandal they have been involved in resulting in lawsuits was the actual process of how they manufacture their products. Complimentary to the term fast fashion they do use sweat shops to make fashion obviously faster and efficiently to keep up with their huge demand. The problem was the problem was the treatment of staff regarding their working hours and there working conditions. Back in 2020-2021 they were Tik Tok videos unclear if true or not had creators open clothes from Shein and inside the label it typed help or help me inside. This was the workers in their China work studio crying out for help from their extraneous job. The one concern people had was their long hours and working conditions that were unsuitable to work in for such long hours. Such an extensive list of accusations and much more was put against the rising star of the online fashion world made the law get involved and now a long investigation is being started. Despite this customer intrigued by suspicious cheap prices remained loyal to SHEIN and continued purchasing their products.

Having review all the information so far, that is SHEIN wants to move forward and become an influence against their competitor They should move carefully about their next move with their public appearances. By doing so they should be fully transparent with their company’s policy. Also be fully cooperative with the investigation so that the public can see them in a good eye. It is necessary to do so because even if people still buy from them despite the allegations, they must earn the trust of the previous customers they have left, and the new customers scared away by the allegations. Lastly, they should provide proof to the public with how they treat their employees. And if such allegations are true, they must treat employees better and consider not being so closely related to other designers’ work because copyright is the biggest issue in any art industry.
