Reading Through the Seasons

Spring is here, the trees turning lush with green and shade, and I want to go to the park with a blanket, a picnic, and a book. Summer will be coming soon with heat and sunshine, and I want to go to the beach to sit where the ocean meets the shore and read while cold waves lap at my feet. August will be here before we know it, and I want to go to my favorite lake in New England and drift with my book on a tube out on the water. When autumn comes and the air gets chilly, I’ll make coffee and linger over my book long after I’ve finished breakfast. And when winter comes and darkness falls before evening really begins, I’ll lie down on the couch with my book, and I won’t mind the dark one bit.
