BMCC Reads is by and for all BMCC students, faculty, and staff who want to share their love of reading. It is brought to you by a team of BMCC librarians, students, and faculty, past and present.
The Team
Bo Ouattara is a BMCC student and an avid reader.
Joseph is a BMCC student who enjoys reading historical fiction, science fiction, and biographies.

Rachael Nevins is an adjunct librarian at BMCC and also a writer, voracious reader, and long-distance runner.

Rain Marie Robertson is a Literacy Studies Major at BMCC. Hailing from Atlanta, GA, she is often seen around her neighborhood in Harlem and enjoying matcha lattes in Meatpacking (at her other job).

Tunde is a psychology major at BMCC. She writes, “As a mom of three, I’ve seen firsthand how much of an impact books can have on kids. That’s why I’ve developed a passion for reviewing children’s books—because I truly believe reading is one of the most important things for young minds. It not only sparks their imagination but also helps them develop the skills and insights they’ll need as they grow. Through my reviews, I hope to help other parents and caregivers find books that not only entertain but also foster growth, learning, and emotional development in children.”
