Welcome to Week 5 of Asian American History 114!
This week, you do not have any new reading.
- You can review last week’s module, specifically looking at race, racism, and racialization and begin to apply these concepts to Asian American histories.

This week, we are going to use the discussion board to check in about the class, any questions that you want to raise, and an option to contribute a song to a class playlist that I will use at the start/end of class.
Please share with us:
- Something that you think is going well in this class — something to do with you, your classmates, and/or the professor;
- Something that you would like to change or would like to see changed;
- One song that you would like to add to the class playlist for opening and closing music. Share with us why this song is a good choice for a class in Asian American History (or, why else you suggested it).
