Introduction

Hello, my name is Sundas Ejaz. I am from Brooklyn, New York. I am a female, and South Asian. My major is Biology, as I plan on to work in the medical field. I’m not sure what career I exactly want to go for, but it’s either something under the field of neurology, or dermatology. I don’t have many hobbies, I mostly just create art.
I took this class as not only did I need to fulfill a transferring requirement, but also I found this class very interesting as it focuses more on Asian American history. Asian American history isn’t taught much in schools, so I liked that such a diverse course is offered. I also like how inclusive this course is as this course doesn’t just focus on one group of Asians, but rather Asian Americans of different origin such as South Asians. I am looking forward into learning about the various cultures of Asian Americans.

Louis Sanchez DB INTRO

Hi everyone,

So to start off my name is Louis Sanchez, im 19 years old & was born a raised in the Bronx. This is currently my 3rd semester and my major is science in health professions which I am hoping to be able to graduate and transfer to a nursing school. Although I am Dominican, I do find the history of others interesting & how their cultures differentiate from mine, which is why I decided to take this class to begin with. Honestly from classes in the past I’ve realized I always do well when it comes to writing essays no matter the length of it, which is why I believe I will honestly succeed in this writing intensive course. When it comes to habits I would just say I love being active. This is why Im either Boxing, Playing baseball when I can, or actively in the Gym. Anyways I hope we all succeed together this semester especially since its going to take some time to get used to the online courses, especially if you’re used to learning in person.

Leo Lee’s personal Introduction

Hello! Everyone, my name is Leo Lee, LL is my nickname so you can simply call me LL.  I live in sunset Brooklyn for 15 years, I moved here since 2005. My native language is Cantonese but I will put my effort into learning English. I think the key to learning a new language is to keep communicating with other people and don’t be afraid if you say something wrong. My favorite colors are blue and purple, I think blue is the color of freedom and purple is the color of romanic, these two things are what I seek for.

Everyone has their own habit, I am not an exception. My habit is collecting cell phones, I have 17 cell phones at home and some cell phones are brand new, never opened.

I really don’t like online course, I feel it is very hard to make new friends. Especially you can’t go somewhere with your classmates after the course is done. Hopefully, we can return to regular in person course as soon as possible.

This is all my introduction about, I feel glad to meet every one of you.

Ren Su DB – Intro

Hello everyone,
My name is Ren Su. As everyone knows, I am a Chinese. When I was a teenager, I emigrated to the United States with my parents. My major is science. This is my second year in bmcc and I am going to transfer to Hunter. I will change my major into biology and nerves. For my future career, my dream is to become a cardiothoracic surgeon.

For me, my grandfather is the person who has the greatest influence on me, and he is also the person I respect most for me. He is a cardiothoracic surgeon. It can be said that I grew up by a group of doctors. I saw their rescue of patients, and also saw him teaching his students. To me when I was young, he was my hero, because he could save many people and bring them back to health. This is why my current major is medical care, because I want to be a doctor who can save many patients just like my grandfather.

In my free time, I will read some Chinese literature. This is to ensure that my Chinese will not regress. Of course I will also learn more English. For me, English is my second language. , So my grammar may be a bit strange, please correct me.

Because I am an Asian, I really want to understand the history of Asian people in the United States, so I chose Asian American History among many elective courses.
