Hi Garey,
I have to look at your slide and I think it’s good, cause you have to show the information about Immigration and I have to see the Chinese words. It’s interesting me.
Nice archive Garey. I like how you included the picture of President LBJ signing the immigration act because of how significant it was not just to everyone but specifically how it allowed your interviewee’s grandparents to migrate.
Hey Garey
I found your slides very informative and interesting. Also, it is needless to say migration to a new country is very hard at times but it also opens the door to opportunities.
Hong Kong representing! It was great to see another similar immigration story to my family’s (HK to BK). I loved the inclusion of the signing of that 1965 Act. I did research on the act for my essay as well, but totally didn’t think to include it as an artifact, despite the fact that it’s implementation was integral to my aunt’s migration from HK.
hi
immigration can always be hard on everyone, especially when to religions, culture and languages differ. I really enjoyed ready your archive
