In Kimberly Yam’s article “The Forgotten Asian Refugees Fed Into The U.S. Prison System”, the author wrote about Trump’s hegemonic enforcement of ICE during his inauguration as the President of the United States. In the article, ICE arrested many refugees in South Asia. These refugees were then deported from the country. These convictions may give these refugees a very painful choice. Because if they are deported, they will once again face those countries that have suffered hegemony. I think this may change the fate of many people.

  1. Hi Ren, I agree with you. These people fates are in the hands of the U.S and they had to be deported after being accepted. It must’ve been very hard and they shouldn’t have to endure something like that just so they can live their life.

  2. Hi Ren,

I agree with you and truly it is a horrible thing. Hopefully, with the recent elections, these once exiled immigrants can come back to their families here in the States and be at peace. Maybe with this, their fates can finally be changed for the better or turn around.

  3. Its horrifying how easily people in power can decide to pass laws that separate and rip families apart. So many immigrants deal and endure so much mistreatment because of where they are from. Hopefully with the current turn out of elections,, situations will lighten and be more forgiving
