Hello everyone,
My name is Ren Su. As everyone knows, I am a Chinese. When I was a teenager, I emigrated to the United States with my parents. My major is science. This is my second year in bmcc and I am going to transfer to Hunter. I will change my major into biology and nerves. For my future career, my dream is to become a cardiothoracic surgeon.
For me, my grandfather is the person who has the greatest influence on me, and he is also the person I respect most for me. He is a cardiothoracic surgeon. It can be said that I grew up by a group of doctors. I saw their rescue of patients, and also saw him teaching his students. To me when I was young, he was my hero, because he could save many people and bring them back to health. This is why my current major is medical care, because I want to be a doctor who can save many patients just like my grandfather.
In my free time, I will read some Chinese literature. This is to ensure that my Chinese will not regress. Of course I will also learn more English. For me, English is my second language. , So my grammar may be a bit strange, please correct me.
Because I am an Asian, I really want to understand the history of Asian people in the United States, so I chose Asian American History among many elective courses.
Wonderful to meet you, Ren. I look forward to our discussions this semester, especially about health/medicine and Asian America.
