Statement of the Problem

The rise in diversity necessitates that school administrators set up procedures to guarantee that children from migrant backgrounds participate equally. Bias, fear, a lack of cultural understanding, a lack of professional procedures, and a lack of appropriate support structures are some of the issues that inhibit culturally responsive practices.

  • A lack of suitable support systems.
  • Prejudice, lack of cultural awareness, the absence of professional strategies and adequate support structures.
  • Not having a flexible school curriculum.
Inappropriate communication.
Misinterpreted the concept of inclusive education.

In addition, there is a communication gap between families and schools. When families are underrepresented in schools, the relationship between families and teachers is weakened. Without parental involvement, children may struggle academically, do poorly on tests, drop out of high school, lack ambition and self-assurance, and have poor social skills.

If the child’s prior knowledge is not taken into account, the family may experience a disconnect or gap in communication.
