Reflections 5: Race and Ethnicity

part 1

1.The difference between race and ethnicity is that race is related with the biological variations of the mankind while ethnicity is related with the cultural and traditional variations of the mankind. Therefore ethnicity is affiliated with the culture and traditions.

2.A dominant group is a sociological entity that is often a focus for study or in other words a group that controls the value system and rewards in a particular society.

3.Minority group is people who experience relative disadvantage as compared to members  of a dominant social group..based off (race, religion, or sexual orientation

4.The difference between stereotypes, prejudice, discrimination, and racism is that stereotypes are oversimplified ideas about groups of people. While prejudice refers to thoughts and feelings and discrimination refers to action, &  racism refers to a belief of one race.

5.The different ethnic groups in the shared similarities such as foods they ate and how they lived and caught there food and probably their body features. The difference between the groups probably some groups couldn’t eat meat and probably wore masks and had certain equipment for when they were hunting.
