1. In my own words ideology would be described as a system to keep everyone in check. Even though people would have some “freedom” ideology they make sure everything goes the way it is supposed to be like a structured system. An example of this would be the education system. Everything is in order and we have the “leaders” and the students that have to abide by every rule and do as they are told or there will be consequences. 
  2. The way I understand the difference between conservative and liberal ideology is that conservative is conserved more structure and “rules” while liberal is more open and more likely to give the people what they want. The big difference between liberals and conservatives is liberals think that the government should focus more on economic issues and less on moral ones. Conservatives feel that the government should focus more on social concerns and less on economic issues.
  3. I view Althusser’s definition of ideology more of a practice. Things of order. As in the second video the examples were school, the government, and the police system. All these examples are practices put in place to keep order.
