What drew me to the seminar was its focus on class projects that aren’t one-off assignments, but rather through-lines for the entire semester. I’m always on the look-out for speaking and listening activities that students in my basic Spanish classes will really get into (do I need to say more about why improving speaking & listening skills are the #1 outcome for me?).
The ZCT textbook I use, Libro libre, is CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, meaning I can have an entire textbook copied and bound in BMCC’s Repro, at no cost. Thanks to the OER team at BMCC for leading me to this resource! It gives me a lot of leeway to create my own activities and set my own direction as a teacher.
Looking forward to sharing teaching practices and experiences with all of you, and to picking up a few new tools for my toolkit.
