Gather, organize and describe (see Portfolio checklist section on week1 of the class website) the projects you want to feature in your portfolio. Make sure each file has a meaningful name (i.e: NOT untitled1.jpg). Create a Word or Google Doc document for the descriptions and “About” section (case study is optional). Everything should be placed in a single folder and shared via URL in the Reply box of this discussion.
If you are already using an online platform for your portfolio, you may submit the URL instead of the folder described above. Make sure each piece has a description. Include any piece that currently isn’t on your site and that you are thinking of adding.
This is the first step of the portfolio assignment (worth 15% of your total grade – see grading rubric here). In the coming weeks, you will edit and format your work. The final version is due on week 14. You will be asked to show progress on this project throughout the semester.

For next week, revise your design based on the feedback you received during the presentation. This is your last chance to make content changes before translating your sketches and ideas into a full-fledged campaign. Make sure all your revisions are uploaded in your shared folder.
For next week, create and rehearse your preliminary design presentation as a group. Clearly name it (i.e: TeamName_designPresentation_date) and place it in your shared folder. Each group will present to the class next time we meet. Be ready to offer feedback to your classmates.

Step 1: Create a Post with answers to the following questions:
Step 2: Read everyone else’s answers. Write down each classmate’s name and write down a “compatibility” level – between 1 (lowest) and 5 (best) – next to each one.
Step 3: Email me your compatibility list at apinkas@bmcc.cuny.edu. Give each potential teammate a number from 1 (least compatible) to 4 (very compatible). I will keep these ratings anonymous and will take them into account when forming the groups. Please do not be disappointed if you don’t get your “ideal” group. I will do my best to accommodate everyone’s preferences but will also try to balance everyone’s skill sets.
