This is my first time trying using any editing software and trying to get used to making a picture so i’ve been familiarizing myself with it. I plan on putting things in that represent me like video games and music and my fondness for cats.

For this week’s assignment, I worked with multiple filters on my photoshop project and was able to create a cute cat in illustrator.

This week, I played around with the filters for my image and made a portrait of myself in Illustrator.

First time using Photoshop. The menus and tsunami of choices/edits/alterations can be quite intimidating when viewed as a whole. I look forward to a time where I can look back at this post and have a laugh; knowing what I will know then.

The subject of my self portrait is my four legged best friend Lucky. He’s 16 years old and often likes to stare out, almost as if he is contemplating his role in the greater universe. I often refer to him as the “old man” which maybe hypercritical of me, since I’m a few months from the half century mark myself and have decided to return to school for the love of animation and story telling.

Perhaps the dog isn’t the only one who’s “spaced out”…
