(I had a technical issue where I couldn’t transfer from P5 editor to Code sandbox. I fixed it)
Title: Choose how you spend your day off
Semester/year: Spring 2024
Html / CSS
Program: Code Sandbox
The website says that you got a day off from work and you don’t know how to spend it. You get 2 options to choose and both have different outcomes. I chose these two options because I would personally consider these 2 choices.
For my website, I let users choose different modes of transportation to travel around New York, and each different mode of transportation will bring different consequences.
Title: website web development project (re-submit)
Chose your own adventure
Spring 2024
Html, CSS, p5 editor
I wanted to make a choose-your-own-adventure story with a horror theme, and I wanted it to be funny, too. I just thought about making a story that starts out very normal and boring and escalates to an absurd degree. You wake up in your hotel room and head out to get to the beach, but as you choose the elevator or stairs, you soon find out you are not where you thought you were. I had to think a lot about how to create a narrative within the pages and how to make that work in a web page format. I had a lot of issues after you told me to resubmit. I went through and reworked the project on the p5 editor. I did almost everything there except get the CSS colors I wanted across the entire website. I tried re-uploading to Code Sandbox, but I kept getting errors that my images would not upload. I tried everything to get them to upload i even tried to get different images, but something was wrong with the editor. I couldn’t get any images in the editor, so I tried GitHub again but had the same result as with the p5 editor, so I stuck with the p5 editor. I wanted to make them black with white text, but only the first page had the color. I applied the code to all pages. Only the first page took the color. Overall I’m happy with it i basically recreated the original project with the format you laid out in the videos. If I didn’t have issues with the editors, I would have had the web pages have a black background with white text, but overall, I was able to stay true to the scary theme I was looking for and not stray too far from my original idea.
My website is about my personal pages of piano moments where people can have some intimate time with a nice melody, piano instrumental. For some reason it does not include the same style when it opens the options, I check the review the professor did for an student who had kind of the same issue, if I can get any help with that.
For my MMP 100 project, I created a portfolio instead of venturing into a “choose your own adventure” game. This portfolio showcases the progression of my work throughout MMP 100, offering users a glimpse into my journey.
The most challenging part I encountered was ensuring the proper closure of my code elements. I meticulously traced through every code pathway, verifying it was right.
My website is my portfolio. I put the work I did in this class. The most challenging part of the project was when I tab one of the codes wrong all will be wrong, so I had to be careful to do coding.
My website is a choose your own adventure story where the “adventure” is survival. Will you survive or succumb to a grizzly death? Choose between Zombies, Vampires and Disease as the world ends. Which weapon will you use? I had some trouble with this project, especially after changing to codesandbox, but I think it looks nice. I think it’s safe to say I won’t be using HTML in my free time anytime soon.
I chose to have my adventure include my dog; usually while I’m doing work for school she is never afraid to let me know that something is wrong or that she wants attention so what better way to include her in this project! The most challenging part of the project was just learning the language Professor Roberts was talking about during his videos; it took a whole lot of rewatching the videos for me to understand why we were adding <div’s, attributes, #containers, and .choices but as soon as it clicked I found I was about to use short cuts, copy and paste certain codes and the aesthetic information instead of writing out code after code. It seemed complicate and convoluted to do things this way at first but I realized these techniques were meant to keep things organized and simple. This was such an informative project and it became fun after things started rolling and fitting together, I believe this is something I’d like to learn a lot more about in the future.
My website is a choose your own adventure story for someone starting up a band. The user can choose what instrument they want to play, and then what genre of music. The user can choose between four basic instruments, like Guitars, Drums, Bass, and Vocals, followed by the choice between Metal or Punk music as their desired genre. There is no failing in this adventure, only pursuing the music that best suits you.
