My Animation: Happiness / Excitement

Title: Blooming excitement

Spring 2024

Since flowers and bright objects are correlated to happiness and excitement, I made a cute bouncy animation of one becoming bigger and happier. I wanted to add shape layers but my adobe crashes every time I used them. So I had to draw the frames myself. This was a fun process, but the hardest part of it was working with graphs, I wasn’t sure what I was doing at times.

Story board update,

The emotion I’ve chose was excitement, I wanted to show someone getting too excited to the point that they burst and end up tiring themselves out!

heres my concept sketch as well.

Audio project

for my audio project, I read and gave my interpterion of the poem “A Dream Deferred” by Langston Hughess in the style of a calm podcast. I chose to read a poem due to my love of Langston Hughess works and literature in general. I used several effects on this project such as fade in, fade out, and the envelope tool.

Audacity 1

For my audio portrait, I read and interpreted the Langston Hughes poem, “Dream Deferred.” When we get to the editing part of the project, I’ll add music and simple fade ins and outs.

Self Portrait Week 2, part 2

I forgot to add parts of AI work, I’m struggling with illustrator due to it being extremely different than any program I worked with. I’m attempting to make my piece off old school ios icons and the ocean yet, I can’t seem to work well with clipping tool.

Self Portrait Update Week- 3

I already finished my self portrait, but working in photoshop was honestly so eye opening. Photoshop works just like my art program, Clip Studio Paint. Working with new brushes was a bit hard, but i started to get the hang of it.

I’ll include the portrait into this entry too.

My Self Portrait

My self portrait represents a lot of important things to me. The elements I added were a Sea angel, Candy sharks, Ponyo, the silly drawing from Turning Red, and myself! Both my moon and rising signs are water signs, which I feel like makes me more connected to the ocean! I adore sea animals such as sharks and sea angels, which I tried intergrading into the piece with the candies and figurines! I also added a reference to my favorite movie Ponyo and Turning Red too. I love both these movies so much, due to how they inspire me to always create art.
