CUNY TV Interviews

Spring 2024

HTML, CSS, Audacity

My final project are interviews from two different professionals at CUNY TV, that I embedded into a website. I chose to interview these people because I think it is interesting to learn how people got into the professional career they have. Being a student we receive all this information but sometimes lack the knowledge of how to get and perform the job. Which can feel overwhelming. I was lucky enough to be an intern at CUNY TV and got a lot of hands on experience, but still feel unsure on how to land a job. I hope these interviews give some inspiration to students seeking a career in videography, directing, producing or any aspects of the TV industry. I recorded the audio myself and edited it using audacity. I created the website using HTML and CSS on Code Sandbox. Enjoy!

My Final Project

Summarize the story: My project will be an interview or interviews with directors from CUNY TV studio. I am an intern there and I will be asking them questions on how they got started, where they are now, and how they see their future in the industry. Also any other advise they would give to people that would like to one day be TV directors.

Media: I’m going to record interviews and edit the recordings on audacity.

General style: Informative, educational and hopefully inspirational.

Software: Audacity, HTML

Mad Libs

Title: Mad Libs

Spring 2024

Language used: HTML, CSS, JavaScript

I created a Mad Libs story that takes user inputs and outputs a unique story. This was difficult. I don’t think I will be pursuing this as a career. But I felt like I accomplished something once done. I had trouble as always with the tiniest typos making huge problems. I also tried to add a picture but had trouble. It might have been the image I was using or maybe I just didn’t do it right…

My Website

Choose Wisely, Adventure Awaits

Spring 2024

HTML, CSS

My website is a choose your own adventure story where the “adventure” is survival. Will you survive or succumb to a grizzly death? Choose between Zombies, Vampires and Disease as the world ends. Which weapon will you use? I had some trouble with this project, especially after changing to codesandbox, but I think it looks nice. I think it’s safe to say I won’t be using HTML in my free time anytime soon.

My Website

Choose your own adventure

Spring 2024

html/css

I had a lot of trouble. Everything went smooth at first but then trying to switch over to codesand box, everything crashed and burned. I had fun creating all my pages I wish I could have the same look for all the pages. I think I’m going to figure it out on my own time. Also, when I first go to the site the css changes I made are there but when you go through the site and press start over, it all vanishes.

My Animation: Anxiety

Title: Anxiety

Spring 2024

Software: Adobe After Effects

I chose to animate anxiety by showing a snowball fearing his inevitable death.

My Storyboard

Here is my storyboard draft for animation. It’s snowball with anxiety about its impending death.

My Audio Final

Title: Shakespeare in the BMCC Library

Spring 2024

Software: Audicity

For my audio project, I produced a pilot episode of Shakespeare in the BMCC library. Hopefully it gets picked up and we can have more episodes. I layered in music, sounds, and added the SHHH at the end to bring us back into the library. I played with fading in and out, and levels. I learned that this software can be very volatile at times. I couldn’t delete a portion of a clip because there was a highlighted part that was in the header of a clip. Took me forever to figure that out.
