Envision yourself on a Sunday morning. The birds are chirping, you’ve woken up and stretched, and you’ve now headed into the shower to wake yourself up. You brush your teeth and head to the kitchen to make yourself some coffee/or tea and some breakfast to start the day right.

Audio Portrait: Studying at a Library

Title: Audio portrait of studying at the library

I combined 5 total audio files to create a portrait of what would be me studying at a library. I added the library background ambience, music because I listen to music while doing school work, vibration of a phone for realism, the sounds of writing, and finally my own recorded sound of me opening my bag and taking out a book and pen. I had the music fade in and out.

I wanted to create an ending audio, and I used the background sound of the subway passing by, the voice of the last stop and the sound of the piano. It’s like the end of the movie, everyone gets off at the last stop.

Audio Portrait: Hoops

Title: Audio Portrait: Hoops

In this portrait I wanted to create what sounds like a game of basketball being played. I used a the sounds of volleyball being played but it sounds similar to a basketball game. I added the sounds of glass shattering and water splashes to depict someone missing or making a shot. I trimmed all of the audio clips and played with the volume to my liking to make things sound less awkward and make it seem like all these noises are coming from one source in one room.

“Saying Goodbye Is Hard” is an emotional audio project that captures the sounds of wind, car doors, and engines during the process of helping my mom move out of her townhouse due to unfortunate circumstances.

The project also includes a personal voice-over and an instrumental track from Rockstar Games’ Max Payne 3 that evokes a sense of nostalgia and bittersweet feelings.

It’s a relatable and human experience that everyone can connect with – saying goodbye to a loved one or a familiar place is never easy, but it’s a necessary part of life.

Self Portrait

For my self portrait I composed together an image of a woman and a scenery of snowy mountain to show that I want to travel to places like this and take similar pictures. I used blending and filters to match the lighting from the woman’s scene to the lighting of the mountains scene and then applied a gradient map to create a stylized look.

Rose’s Portrait Projects! MMP 100

I really enjoy going by the water/piers to relax so I choose on of my favorite bridges as a background. I thought it would be cool photoshopping a guy on his parachute coming down because that is simply something you will never see in NYC when looking at this view haha.

Using Illustrator I drew a funny looking lady I designed by using shapes and curving lines. She is in her office just waiting for lunch time to come around for food and a break. That is me everyday at work when I sit at my desk and while doing tons of work all I can think of is when’s lunch? what am I eating for lunch? How long until lunch?
