Title: Basketball

Semester/Year: Spring 2022

Coding/programming languages: p5/Javascript

Description: For this project, I decided to draw a basketball, because the NBA Conference Finals begin this week and I can not wait for it to begin. I would also like to say #F*** Boston, lol. They happen to eliminate my pick to win the whole thing so I’m a bit salty. I utilized the eclipse shapes to create the ball because it looks better, it may have seem easy, however the most challenging part of this project is properly putting the damn brackets at the proper spot, or I’ll get a bunch of syntax errors.

My Audio Project

Title: Please leave a message at the Beep

Semester/Year: Spring 2022

Software: Audacity

Description:

As a child, I used to watch a bunch of sitcoms. From Home Improvement, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, to The Steve Harvey Show. However, my audio project was inspired from my favorite sitcom of all time and probably the greatest sitcom of all time, Seinfeld. In the 8th season and the 5th episode, George Costanza creates an iconic answering machine greeting. I decided to recreate my own version, as my friend leaves me a message of a trip he just returned from. I combined four audio samples and had to do a video to mp3 to wav conversion in order to get the samples to work on audacity.

Animation

Title: Pensive Emotion Animation Osumanu Adamu

Semester/Year: Spring 2022

Software: Adobe After Effects

I choose to animate the emotion pensive, which is when you are engaged in deep or serious thoughts. When I think of pensive I imagine that someone is either sitting down looking at a landscape or laying down looking at the clouds. Thus, I used the eclipse tool to create some clouds then I used key frames to animate the clouds across the screen. The most challenging part of this project was learning how to use the keyframes because it was confusing when I tried to move the clouds to make them move across the screen and at times it wasn’t working, however, I was able to get the hang of it.

Title: Vogue Magazine Portrait

Semester/Year: Spring 2022

Software: Adobe Photoshop

As an aspiring Actor/Model, I decided to utilize photoshop so I can envision what would happen if/or when I’m blessed to be on the cover of a magazine. I used a photo of a woman holding up a blank magazine cover, then I uploaded a picture of me on to a different layer, before scaling it down from its original size and overlaying on to the first layer. I though that what have been it however, when overlaying the picture of me, the picture was also overlaying the woman holding the magazines cover’s hands which made it look, well … photoshopped. However with the help of the masking tool, I was able to mask out the woman’s fingers, and made the final project look more palatable & realistic.

Title: Hollywood Walk of Fame Portrait

Semester/Year: Spring 2022

Software: Adobe Illustrator

I’ve never had the chance to go Los Angeles, so I got on adobe illustrator, and illustrated what I Imagined the Hollywood walk of fame would look like. Using the line segment tool, I drew two perpendicular lines to be the sidewalk, then I used the star tool to draw out the stars, then used the text box to write some of the inductees of the walk of fame. I also used the rectangle shape tool as well as the circle shape tool, to draw a 2d camera at the left hand corner.
