At first, I thought about an image featuring a pigeon in a high place, referencing how I would look up often as a child to try and spot birds in high buildings. The second image that came to mind was the beer bottle, seeing how they tend to be scattered around the streets wherever you look. And as for the blurred vision, It’s my sight. Don’t have the best sight one it comes to one of my eyes and thought it would add some good effects to this photo.
I modified the beer bottle and added it to the pigeon photo and masked some objects. Along with adding a filter to make it seem like you’re seeing double.
This collage is meant to identify me as a person. I wanted to create an image that represents me using the things that I love. For starters, the background is an image of the New York City streets that I walk daily is overlayed with stars. I love astrology and wish that I could see the starts in the sky while walking at nighttime. I placed a woman walking with the head of an elephant, which is my spirit animal. Lastly, I used an image of piano keys as the street the woman walks on, since I am a pianist.

Title: Geometric
Fall 2023
Adobe Illustrator
This is meant to be a portrait of myself made with adobe illustrator. I made a simplistic version of myself using numerous shapes. The eyes have been left out so I can emphasize my glasses and how the flare makes it difficult to see my eyes with them on. The hair is asymmetrical because, like in real life, my hair and curl pattern is not at all equal, and it flows in different ways.
I wanted to use something simple, and cool but also somewhat personal. I used stippling rather than gradients for some shadows, I felt that it gave it some texture which I found attractive then the sharpness vectors gave off. I created most of the stippling using Image Trace, but everything else were just shapes. My inspiration came from some of my favorite characters growing up, their attitudes edged on cynicism, seeing the world like a passive observer.
Title: (Head in the clouds) Self Portrait Collage
Semester/Year: Fall 2023
Program Used: Photoshop
This work was a collage, I used masking to try to give the illusion of depth and make the subject seem natural in the environment. Most of the inspiration was from using themes prevalent in hip hop culture and reimagining it in an ironic way. Although the theme I was going for was somewhat encompassed in the work I feel like the black and whiteness gave it a subdued feeling which felt right in this composition.

Title: Peaceful Lion and Monkey in a peaceful Jungle
Semester: Fall 2023
Software: Adobe Photoshop
For this project, I picked the image of the lion in a forest from the internet, I also saved an image of the donkey that was sitting on branch tree. I used photoshop to select the monkey and put it near the lion, I cropped it change the color to make it smilar to the lion color. For this image to look real, I change the color and used “photo repair-sepia” to make it look it original.
This project is an illustration to tell people that we can leave in peace and harmony and stop all kind of wars or division. If a lion and a monkey can be together leaving without fighting; what about us, human beings that have consciousness ?
For this Project, I took the occasion to create a logo or image to advertise a business that I have on my mind: Giving English to non native speaker.
I used shapes, color, text and other options and buttons of the toolbar to draw a computer where I wrote a text to really say the main objective of the business.
Part I raster: The images that I chose to combine to represent myself is a book, a heart, a paint brush, a book, the bajan flag, 3 images of me at different points in my life and a galaxy. I chose to put these images together because I wanted to show how spiritual and knowledgeable I consider myself to be. The Galaxy shows my interest in the stars and the moon and how connected I feel to them. The paint is to show my creativity and the heart is to show the love I have for different things in my life. The book is to represent my knowledge. The pictures of myself shows my evolution over the years. I think the hardest part of incorporating these image is trying to create the illusion that the pictures of me are coming out of the book as well as making the paint and heart look like the content of the book
Part II Vector: The taurus symbol that I’ve chosen to put into my project is to show that I am the year of the bull. I ghost to use the color blue because I think that it goes well with the galaxy that I have in the background. I also chose the 3D effect for my “TRAGEDY TO TRIUMPH’’ because I want the person who views my portrait to feel like the words are coming towards them. I want them to see in bold letters the path that I am trying to go down in my life. I also chose to make the ‘’Book of Tee golden to show that I think that the contents of my life are very important. When you see gold you think of high quality and I feel like I have a heart of gold. I also added stars that I distorted just to go with the theme of space.
Image made in photoshop exaggerating the city New York. A fight, the most famous resident of New York, the rat. Mostly made as a fun image to represent what people from other places see New York as.

An MMP 100 logo made with the figure tools, gradients and text boxes, made in adobe illustrator. inspired in the crosses found in the game Guilty Gear.
For my self portrait I used object selection tool (also the lasso tool), and cut the extra to get what I want in the picture, when I was thinking of making this collage is how I looked like In the train, I used some dark purple and light purple to give it that effect filter. And then just blend it to really create depth. It’s almost like it’s giving off a sense that I’m somewhere else…i depicted myself in the train because its very New York and I consider myself NYC at heart.
One thing, this is my second illustration of my self portrait. My original somehow didn’t save and I had to start over. I just wanted to put a general image of me because this illustration depicts me in a different hairstyle. I used a lot of layers and my main tools was the pencil tool and anchor point selection. I just wished I put a little more effort into the color and background.
For my self-portrait I used the Mask tool and Eraser to add the photos that I felt represented me. I found a background that is colorful because I like to draw and paint, colorful drinks since I like to try new drinks, flower pastries because I like sweet things, cats because I have a pet cat, and yellow flowers because I like how flowers look.

When making my self-portraits I used the pen tool as well as the paintbrush. I drew myself in a blueish-green sweater, I call it my iconic sweater because I would always wear it every time. I have dyed hair which I had for 3 years, the colors are based on my favorite character. I also drew the things I like, my hobbies, favorite shows, and food.
The images I chose are images of where I’m from and have lived (Brisbane, Australia and Manhattan), with some animals which are also from there. The background is meant to look like a comic because they’re a big part of my life. In the foreground is an easel with a “painting” of myself on it, representing how I like art. In total I used seven images. I was inspired by the demo, which was a New York pigeon sitting on a building. This led me to want to make an image mainly based on where I’ve lived and to include animals that live there. The most challenging part about this project was thinking of new ways to add images, or how to use new effects. I ended up giving the rat laser eyes to try and use more effects.
For this project I mainly used the polygon tool to make shapes and combine them to make a face. I thought it’d be easier and more fun to try and create a cat face rather than my own face. The colors are mostly beige and blue, which I think go well together. A lot of the clothing I own is either navy blue or beige. I was mainly inspired by the example of the vector self portrait shown and I wanted to depict a face. The collar has the letter C on it for my name. A challenge I went through was not knowing how to center the C properly. It kept snapping to places that weren’t the center. I think maybe if I changed the text into a shape it would have let me move it to where I wanted it to go. One of the most challenging things that I did solve was how sometimes I would seemingly randomly be on the wrong layer. After a while I realized that when I hit undo I’d sometimes be transported back to a previous layer. This also caused me to edit shapes and paths that I was done editing instead of a new shape that I wanted to create. Once I figured out what was happening I was able to solve my issue.
