For my final project I have decided to do a part 2 of my choose your adventure, because it was my favorite to do first part around (and it was easy to do) all images are from adobe stock that I’ve licensed myself. I was gonna do something else for my final but I didn’t have time. Hope y’all enjoy this time around.
For this project I didn’t really have any story in mind so I just created the story as I go, its basically about how your going home and have the option to speak to a man or a woman. From there on you get into some…stuff. Hope y’all enjoy. Most of the pictures are from adobe stock that I’ve licensed. And one Is an AI picture.
Description: the emotion I choose was disgust, so for the background i wanted to be a gross green (even though now I look at it its kinda a neon but yea..) then for the shape i put in i wanted like a orange booger color and add eyes to look left then right then create a disgust look as the shape goes into a splatter. Everything was so challenging but i think it looks..ok.
I chosen church for this second project because all my childhood I went to church. Was even an altar boy at some point. I hated it all. I didn’t like to go to church so i wanted to create a story that there’s something…wrong about this particular church. So for the church bells i did a lil reverb and then I reversed the whole church bell audio to give it that eerie feel. Then i put an audio of children playing (even though it’s kinda silent) then i put my mini script and birds chirping. Then i added the heel clacking to create the effect that I’m going inside and the church bells go down in volume as I go Inside. Then at the end I added a choir to give the affect that ok I’m actually in a church and its starting its morning mass.
For my self portrait I used object selection tool (also the lasso tool), and cut the extra to get what I want in the picture, when I was thinking of making this collage is how I looked like In the train, I used some dark purple and light purple to give it that effect filter. And then just blend it to really create depth. It’s almost like it’s giving off a sense that I’m somewhere else…i depicted myself in the train because its very New York and I consider myself NYC at heart.
One thing, this is my second illustration of my self portrait. My original somehow didn’t save and I had to start over. I just wanted to put a general image of me because this illustration depicts me in a different hairstyle. I used a lot of layers and my main tools was the pencil tool and anchor point selection. I just wished I put a little more effort into the color and background.
