Select a song or a short poem and reinforce its meaning typographically. Manipulate typographic properties, such as size, weight, style, alignment, leading, word spacing, and positioning.
Pay particular attention to the placement of the text in the page, and to overall balance and flow.
Use of imagery is optional but if used must be original- or a free stock photography image. Do not use copyrighted images from the web.
Be deliberate with your design. You should be able to explain how your design choices support the meaning of the text.
Typefaces: Avoid using a display or decorative typeface. The meaning of the text should be expressed with graphic manipulation and not by the typeface choice itself. Consider using one of the five classic typefaces.
