The show that i will be researching for the final presentation is Scooby Doo and Guess Who? The reason why I am drawn to this series is because I like the plot of the show and the aesthetics of the animation. For this research i will be researching about what the show was originally was supposed to be before the final changes happened, when was it created, and the animation.

In Rooty Tooty Toot it has so many colors in the background like when the lady in blue was telling the court her witness the flashback shows the background blue (i think it means sad because the way she was singing or was the voice actor meant to voice it that way?) And when the bartender shares his witness his color was gray. I loved the patterns that the animators used in this short because it’s very detailed. Using both colors and details is effective because it does tell a story like when you’re using red it means anger and the details show what happens in the shot.
during my rewatch of “The Hand” the reason why the Czech government refused to distribute the short film because it has something to do with the government. The hand represents the government because the hand was bribing the protagonist to make a hand for them and the main character refuses his request. And in the middle of the film the hand (the government) forced him to make it by using puppet strings. once after the main character finishes sculpting the hand. the hand hands him two medals and puts a crown on his head symbolizing the service to the government.
Both Sleepy and Happy are animated in a similar manner but there personalities are very different from each other. Sleepy is a dwarf who is very tired. I seen him mostly yawning. And his voice is also tired to. And Happy seems really happy about anything like when he introduces himself he seems very cheerful.
The short film that i will be focusing on this project is Krazy Kat and Ignatz Mouse at the Circus. And the reason why i’m so drawn by this short is because the story is really funny and i love how it was animated like the speech bubbles when the characters are talking. it felt like a comic book on a screen. I will research about the whole animation process of Krazy Kat.
Prompt 2
The reason why there were animations based on comics is because comics were really popular at that time. It was the best way to bring them to life because comics already has images of what’s going on which makes it easier for the animators to know what’s going on in one panel.
If i was an audience member, my reaction would’ve been surprised, impressed, and scared. I don’t really know what kind of entertainment that would elicit the same emotion today. Maybe a animated horror movie or attraction?
An animated show that I like is She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. She-Ra and the Princesses of Power was aired on Netflix on November 13th, 2018. The things that I like about the show is the character developments, the symbolisms, and the story/plot. As the story goes on you can see how each character grow and changed (the main characters, not the other side characters even though i wished we had more episodes to show more of their character and growth)
heya! my name is michelle, i am majoring in animation and motion graphics. i have always been fond in the arts and i have been drawing since forever (i got serious about art in 10th grade). i picked this course because i love animated movies, shows, and shorts and i want to know the history of animation from earlier animation, walt disney, to now. a specific era i want to learn more about is disney renaissance, propaganda (controversial but i still wanna learn about it), anime, studio ghibli. i am an artisit who loves movies and shows and for my career goal is to create my own animated series and movies but independently not in the industry (tragically) and the reason why i want that to be my career choice is because the amount of movies and shows i watched has given me inspiration, comfort, and saved me. And i just want to see people say that my work has inspired them like how movies and shows have done to me.
