Princess Mononoke is a film that best shows off man versus nature where you have the antagonist that uses modern weapons like guns and fire and arrows. Will modern to their time versus the spirits of the of the forest that might be like a large God or tentacle beasts the way how they solved it was the main characters offered. The main character is found a way to make peace between the vengeful spirit, Boers and the humans, but the spirits were mostly lost and they became a normal forest because the antagonist killed the god.

Chippendale Rescue Rangers movie blurs the line of multiple different animations to the for some characters. Other characters might be 3-D animated with tutti rotoscope. I would say it’s a live action film.
So a form of using cartoons to advertise something I can remember, something that I grew up with is mainly from anime like Pokémon with video games. Yu-Gi-Oh with TCG trading card games where you would try to play the game that you see on the show. Digimon or Beyblade where they will sell merchandise like little toys that would have the characters on them. And we would help with the merchandise for these items. They made it seem like anyone can be like the main characters of these stories, so even though these shows have a main character the way they were marked, either you can have your own adventure, or just be like Ash Ketchum. There are also live-action shows like Power Rangers that were huge in the 90s where they used to sell toys and costumes. Sorry, I’m nerding out.
Roomy toothy toot background designs remind me of paper-mâché. Almost like the animators just pasted pictures in the background. And I feel like it works perfectly with the overall aesthetic of the animation. Everyone from the furniture to the character is very simplistic. Wait, a couple of characters look almost never drawn with one line with no breaks. Others look like they were just two shapes just combined with also helps with the color that is used lightly here and there, but also to match the mood or setting of each scene taking place.
The hand critiques, its government for trying to control the puppet’s passion. And they try multiple methods either force manipulation or seduction. The hand at some point even tries to bastardize the puppet’s pottery. I watched an interesting video on the breakdown of this film, and the video creator brought up an interesting point: the hand gave the puppet, a hero’s burial, pretending, almost like they were willing to collaborate with the hand, almost like propaganda.
For one, the animation exaggerates the axis, powers facial features. The film also depicts Hitler as a incompetent fool. For example, he walked by a sign that said Russia then came back, beat up and hurt. One leader was depicted as a coward, hiding in something that looks like a doghouse. The Japanese leader was almost treated as otherworldly compared to the other leaders. The film also makes a mockery version of Japanese music. The film also had the 3 L scared to hold a bomb, letting it blow up in the tank. I feel the film demonstrates that these enemies are a bunch of imbeciles.
Well, in the beginning of the short film, you can see Mickey dancing to the bet. but then it changes a little bit when Pete kicks Mickey out of the boat. Almost like they make some instruments louder and hold the note. The musical also get faster. One mini is chasing the boat. I believe the music is use to help the setting, but also the direction the short film is going or the mood that they want to purvey.
Gertie the dinosaur and fantasmagorie both have very limited animation compared to modern animation. We have today. As far as color voice acting. and slightly SIM and simple art styles with limited motion. They both only use piano for the background music. I would say their differences is Gertie. The dinosaur animation has a lot more frames. The story is a bit more clear than the other one. Gertie is also an animation that is all white with black line well, Fantasmagoire it’s a black background with white lines.fatasgorie is a lot more fast paced The animation is a bit more stiff compared to Gertie the dinosaur. Gertie, the dinosaur has text in a clear narrative.
One form of limited storytelling I’ve seen was on You Tube is sand art https://youtu.be/_jfS2rybDOg. A camera would be faced with a large lit box. The room is dark, and the only thing you see is the sand and artist’s hands. The artist would get a handful of sand and use different movements pouring the sand, placing it sometimes, and using their fingers to make illustration. The art form kind of work is a little bit like charcoal where the artist can put more in certain places to make shadows or pull back to make lighting. The only thing I can think of for me the only limited storytelling is comic strip or little flip book animation sort of like the ones you see the captain underpants books.
