The form of art I have experienced are hand puppets. I have done hand puppet as a project once during elementary school as a project and it was harder than I expected. We had to make the puppet by sewing, our sewing experience doesn’t match up with our creativity. The hardest part was acting. You have to show the emotions of the character based on your voice and mainly the motion of the puppet. This is a little similar to shadow puppets since they both use puppets but shadow puppets seem harder to do. The audience for each of the storytelling are different too. Hand puppets are more for children while shadow puppets are more for older people. Shadow puppets might be harder to understand for children. I have seen a few shadow puppet shows when I was a kid and I did not understand what the story was about.

My name is Kaijie but I generally go by Kai. I picked this course because I am interested in animations, mainly anime. There are a few genres of animations that I am into, some of them are action and romance. My major is Animation and Motion Graphics and currently I don’t exactly have a goal. Animation just happens to be the topic that I am into in this school. Some hobbies I have are making origami, a little cooking, and trying voice acting.

One of my favorite anime is a new Chinese anime called Throne of Seal. The character designs and the effects of animation are really cool. Certain animations can make certain moments breathtaking and allow you to see the perspective of the characters which I find very interesting. This anime is an adaptation of a manga written by a famous Chinese writer called Tang Jia San Shao. The studio that made this anime is called Shenman Entertainment that is located in Changsha. It is stated that the company are “based on the production of domestic high-quality animation and film and television products, and has a full range of CG development capabilities such as dynamic cartoons, 3D animations, and virtual idols”
