The TV show that I will be focusing on will be Bojack Horseman by Raphael Bob-Waksberg and Lisa Hanawalt. I’m drawn to this show because I’ve watched it a bunch of times and no matter what I always think about it and how it felt watching it. There are so many small details that I end up missing but also the show as a whole and how it approaches adult topics and depression. I believe it’s a show that every young adult should watch some time in their life more than once. It goes through a lot of topics that I believe many adult cartoons and even live action shows do not cover.
Some elements I will be writing about are the general story, how the topics are approached under the guise of comedy, the use of an anti-hero as a main protagonist, how the story and idea was developed and how the animation style and process furthered the rawness of the story.
