Currently 21 years old, born and raised in The Bronx, NY. I currently attend BMCC and my major is Childhood Education. I currently serve with CityYear Americorps as a Student Success Coach. Being born and raised in the underrepresented communities of the Bronx, I have a passion for making change within the community I came from. I have had a love for reading since a kid, and my favorite book is American Street by Ibi Zoboi. One day I would like to write a memoir, because of books like The Glass Castle Jeannette Walls and Down these Mean Streats by Piri Thomas. Furthermore, combining my passions for Literature and Advocacy for underrepresented communities, I am also interested in journalism. I am currently doing a research project on the benefits of Trauma Informed Teaching and Social Emotional Learning, and I think it is important for educators and parents to have this information as well.

As stated in the About me, I currently attend BMCC. I am in my last semester and will graduate with my Associates in Childhood Education. I either want to attend City College or NYU to continue on to get my bachelors. At city college I will have to major in Childhood Education as well, but if i attend NYU id like to pursure Education Studies or Advocacy. Id also like to minor in Writing or Journalism.
