About Me
Joe Bisz is an English professor, educational games designer, and creative writer. He has sailed his theoretical ship into a few ports of the world, including gender & sexuality studies, Popular Culture & Sci-fi, and game-based learning. On his way there he took his hat off to a number of influential writers including Henry James, Thomas Hardy, and Milan Kundera. His critical work has landed in journals such as Computers and Composition Online and his creative writing in a dozen journals and anthologies including Diagram. Now he travels the country (usually by plane—not boat) delivering speaking engagements on how to add playfulness to classroom activities.
