About Me
Since I was an Art and then Aesthetics undergrad, then an Art History grad student, I have been passionate about art, politics, territories, social change, and education. Coming from the city of Santiago and having lived in Bogotá, as well as New York, migration, displacement, colonial histories, struggle, solidarity, resistance, borders, landscape, poetry and a view from the south are some experiences that have colored my thoughts and ways of storytelling. I have published on contemporary Latin American art, performative poetics and video art, solidarity networks and their woven meshes of resistance, cultural appropriation and ethics of care, and artistic practices aimed at social change. Besides teaching and researching, I co-edit the periodical Más allá del fin/Beyond the End for Ensayos, an international collective research practice carried out by artists, scientists, activists, policymakers, and local community members, focusing on the ecopolitics of archipelagos, including extinction, human geography, and coastal health.
