Register for Spring 2021

If you haven’t registered for Spring or Winter, now is the time.

Step 1: Check Your Progress

Log in to Degreeworks and look at what classes you have left and any Plans your advisor has added in. Think about what you might want to do for the next semester.

STEP 2: Get Advised

Everybody has an assigned academic advisor. Email your advisor for an appointment. If you don’t know the email or the name of your advisor, email Jennifer Heron at jheron@bmcc.cuny.edu or (646) 801-7633‬.

We have provided a page with registration updates for each major:

STEP 3: Register for Class

This is on CUNYfirst. This semester, if your advisor has created a Plan in CUNYfirst, you can use the new Schedule Builder. It’s a tool that helps find open sections of all of the classes in your Plan so you can build your schedule quicker. You can also register individually for courses, instructions here.

There are also How-To information sessions on Zoom. Links to Zoom below:

STEP 4: Financial Aid

You don’t have to pay for courses right when you register. In fact, you have to register first before any financial aid can be given.

The Financial Aid office helps with money to pay your tuition. More information and how to contact them is here. They also have the following How-to information sessions through Zoom. Links to Zoom below:

STEP 5: Pay for Classes

The Bursar’s Office is where you pay your tuition and other fees. You can contact them by email or phone:

Email: bursar@bmcc.cuny.edu
Phone: (212) 220-1300

You can visit their web site for Bill Payment Deadlines, Frequently Asked Questions and more.

To further assist students with continuing their education, students with current Spring 2020 semester balances of $4,000 or less are allowed to register for the upcoming Summer and Fall 2020 semesters. All balances prior to Spring 2020 must be paid in full in order for registration to occur for Summer and Fall 2020. There will be no Bursar holds applied until after the start of the Fall 2020 semester, which is August 26, to allow students to conduct school related transactions without delay. For answers to questions, email Bursar@bmcc.cuny.edu.
