Spotify is now offering a lower-priced subscription package for college students!
Spotify’s chief executive officer Daniel Ek has recently been working to offer cheaper options for those most in need, and college students will now be benefiting from this. As one of the most extensive music streaming services, we offer a free model that includes advertisements and pauses in the music. We provide a ten-dollar subscription package that will absolve you from advertisements. Our new subscription package for students will feature all the same options as the ten-dollar package but will include a simultaneous subscription to Hulu and SHOWTIME at the low price of five dollars!
Daniel EK states that he was inspired by the hard work students go through every semester and knowing how positively music can affect a person he wanted to help make Spotify more accessible and affordable to a large demographic like college/university students.
Spotify’s new student subscription package will be eligible in every state and even for those studying abroad. We worked with Hulu and SHOWTIME to have their platforms included in the student subscription because for those of us who have been students we know how hard it is to keep track of paying different platforms once a month while you’re in school paying for classes and books.
At Spotify, we look to unlock the potential of human creativity by allowing millions of artists to express themselves through their music and we broadcast that to the billions of consumers who use our app. We are a community at Spotify and we hope to keep growing this community through more innovative actions.
