What does advocacy mean to you?
Advocacy is having public support and help to express a specific cause, policy, and view you have about an issue. It allows for the opportunity to bring change, public awareness, and influence policies.
Why it is important to you?
Advocacy is important to me because it allows for my opinion and thoughts to be expressed openly and eventually gather the platform and tools to help make the change I want to see.
Culturally Responsive Teaching is an important issue to me because as educators, we need to ensure to incorporate a classroom setting where all children feel welcomed and safe. Also to ensure that they are not limited due to factors such as race, ethnicity, and language to name a few.
