Children of this new generation are starting to be more and more attached to technology and this is starting to affect their physical and social development.
Families, children, Neighborhoods that are surrounded by technology, and low income families may be affected by this issue.
Children, families, and our community might be distracted from what is actually in front of us by technology and media. As a result of how these habits influence those around them, family interaction may decline, children may be at risk for obesity, and our community may come to accept such behaviors as normal.
If the problem is not resolved now, in a child’s formative years, it will be more difficult to resolve later in life. The ideal approach is to start when they are young (2–5 years old), when they can more easily adapt to new habits.
In this situation, intervention is necessary since young children should be taught basic life skills like walking, speaking, and interacting instead of learning how to turn on electronics as their first step.
Families and educators are the intended audience for the subject matter, which will inform them to take action before such negative effects of technology or media happen to their children or students. This is necessary to prevent such poor habits from continuing through school.
