Jody CulkinParticipantYou will create a new post on your Open Lab portfolio for this assignment and use it in your submission. Then you will add the post to this discussion board
- Go to your Open Lab portfolio and create a new post (if you need a reminder on how to do this, please review the instructions on the OpenLab instructions page.
- Title the new post “Flipbook Assignment”
- Write short introduction for the video (i.e: This flipbook is the first assignment I created for my 2D animation class)
- Find the link to your video on Vimeo (see instructions) or Youtube (see instructions)and copy and paste it in your post.
- Publish your post and link to it on the “Study#1: Flipbook” discussion board and on Blackboard.

EssentiaParticipantHello everyone!
Here is the link to my flipbook portfolio page!
https://openlab.bmcc.cuny.edu/essentia-portfolio/
I created a short flipbook and then combined my images into a mini 24 second film. In this flipbook, Saitama (One Punch Man) and Sonic are about to have a race to see who’s faster. We obviously know that Sonic is faster than Saitama, but is he really? They both wait at a traffic light, and as they wait for the light to turn green, both stare at each other. Saitama gets pissed off over Sonic’s smirk as he begins to “charge up” before the race starts. As the light turns green a new and faster figure appears aka the Flash. Saitama and Sonic are both confused and left in disappointment as they were both surpassed by the Flash.

Michelle LimaParticipantHi,
This is the link for both my portfolio
https://openlab.bmcc.cuny.edu/michelle-lima-portfolio/
and for my flipbook assignment

The description of my flipbook goes on as pengu, the small curious penguin, getting distracted, which then leads to his imagination turning into a reality.

The animation was an attempt to cram in as many physical gags as I could within the page limit while exercising some basic principles.

Elizabeth HernandezParticipantHi. This is my assignment titled, “The Dog and the Ball.” It’s just a quick animation of a ball being chased by a long dachshund puppy.
Thank you.

Brian ValdezParticipantGreetings,
This is my flip book assignment submission called The Door. (Please excuse my little brother in the background).
My initial idea was to shade the frames before the light switch was flipped to show the room was dark and then to implement the title on the door right after the light switch is flipped. However, I kept it simple because of my lack of a shading tool. So although the light switch is flipped nothing happens and the loop continues.
