I had watched The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire it was about how women/ teenagers had to work long hours, low wages, and also unsafe conditions. The Employees work like 12hour every day. On March 25th, 1911 at the end of the workday the fire started in a bin of cotton straps. And how they couldn’t seem to put the fire out because how the hose was rusted shut. And the thing is when the fire spread quickly it is harder for them to escape. People only started to panic because they wanted a way out and were afraid that they were going to die. It is also sad that finding a way out of the factory for them is hard either they get crushed to death finding their way or they choose to jump down the window hearing this breaks my heart. Just so they don’t die from the fire inside the factory. Some workers were burned to death or died from breathing in too much of the smoke from the fire. Only been a few 18 minutes 144 people had died. And two more died after in the hospital there were 146 in total. I can’t believe that Max Blanc and Isaac Harris were the ones killing but they weren’t found guilty at all in their trial. What I really hate is when there are the ones that kill so many workers in a factory that can get away with it they should’ve been punished because this was not fair for the workers. They work so hard and rarely even get paid enough. And end up in danger and death. Also when they did decide to change up a bit with Sullivan-Honey fire prevention law that requires sprinklers makes me very mad because why they didn’t decide to do these in the first place but only when so many of the workers had died from the fire. But at least there was a change so other workers that work there can be much safer. Making 28 cents an hour isn’t a lot to me because now we earn more than just that money in the factory. And the worker doesn’t even get any profit from the factory. When they say the jeans they make from the factory selling it for 26 dollars but only have gotten 28 cents. And when the worker wanted 35 cents an hour while working they been beaten up. Even though it still does not count as a lot to me. I think a child shouldn’t work there because they are only kids and too young. Mostly they should be in school having education instead of this which I am glad that they banned child labor. In my opinion, I feel like if they were paid a little more it could have been much better since the worker there worked hard and barely rest. I agree with Erick Luevanos SnapShot I feel that the workers work extra hard at amazon and how they rarely get paid. They have to use the bathroom super quick. While their lives were also risked since we are also in a pandemic and a lot of people buy from amazon.

When I watch the women’s suffrage movement of untold stories on youtube tell us a lot about the women that are of a certain color like Black women and people not only that they also helped all the other women. The video explains a lot about the suffrage movement how women of color don’t have the right to vote. While they made speeches to stand up for themselves not only that back then men can vote. When they said young college women also find it important to vote and I like how they also contributed but they can only stand in the back actually it is better than not marching at all. Plus they were brave that also helped women out and led to a lot of women fighting to end slavery. The quote I found in that youtube was I will cut off this right arm of mine before I will ever work or demand the ballot for the negro and not the women.” Telling us that basically women really deserve to vote more than Black Men. Overall thinking of being a woman, in general, wasn’t as easy as you thought. Every time I think about it most of the women don’t even stand up for themselves just because they’re scared. But telling everyone about how women face different challenges of how they had suffered. Plus everyone can have the right to vote now no matter you are a woman or a man or race. Having a voice to share how everyone’s opinions matter to the world is a good thing so people can understand one another. I agree with Celina Waver SnapShot showing the women having power with hand gestures and how we are strong. And not weak and can stand up for one another. We can also vote and work not because we have to stay home parents we can choose to or not since a lot had changed over the past years. I had also known that we don’t really have a president as women like Hillary and a lot of people think there should not be a girl president somehow thought how they wouldn’t do as good. But in my opinion women, the president can also show that they can help the world too. Also, this can help our next generation because it passes on and how they will learn how being a woman is like in the past. But she not only lost their parents and also have to take care of siblings thought that it isn’t so easy and sad at the same time. But she move to another place called Tennessee and got a better job pay as a teacher. Also, I liked that she made the free speech so people can know and newspaper most of the time they look at the newspaper to understand a lot. Since a lot of adult looks at the newspaper each day and see something new. And media especially teenagers use to look at information and resources.

I like Mei Qi Chen Snap Shot because her snapshot shows how women should also be treated the same way as men since man have more power than us. We cannot just stay silent staying silent it is like not speaking up for yourself and therefore we have the right to do so. And protest are necessary speaking up for your own power and rights. The YouTube film that I have watch today called Crip Camp A Disability Revolution I did not finish the whole thing because it was a bit long but it talks about how disability trying to fit in with other people because most people there wasn’t really disable and can do many things. Basically these people were telling their own stories about their life as disable person like Judy other kids thought that she was sick instead of disability but it was so hard for her to actually explain because she was the only one different in school. And she didn’t feel like she fit in. She went to a school mostly for disable people and made some friends there because they were also disable. Also than they couldn’t do much things for themselves people have to help and keep them clean. Most people would not understand how disable people deal with because it is hard for them because the only thing they can do is sitting on wheelchair. And I couldn’t relate to this because I wasn’t disable but the only thing I can relate is being in a small class and learning was difficult for me being different than other people can’t catch up having a hard time to think and got called dumb by much more people. The reason I don’t think people should make fun of you just because you’re much more different than others we should all help each other out because no human are the same and overcome obstacles . Activism could also be like protecting one another during hard time like covid-19 even so when that happen Asian Elderly and Asian Americans were targeted and they don’t want to see their own family die just because of covid you shouldn’t blame Asian. Another thing that stands out to me in How To think Like An Activism by Wendy the quote on the side saying ” No matter what our age activism requires us to move beyond the right now, to consider how our actions today are shaping the world of tomorrow.” And all of us can use our personal spaces to create change. I like this quote because it can show us how our world is like today from how our action help us impact our everyday lives changing and helping others and our parents. Because we still face difficulties like climate change, people losing jobs and food sources and how stores have to shut down and we do schools online and having difficulties doing school online. Also how the internet and social media impacts us without these we wouldn’t know news that is happening nowadays people share and talk about when something happens.

I like Lezbeth Bolanos Snapshot and it shows how they are trap in the web and can’t escape and I agree with her snapshot they are trap because there isn’t freedom for them and can’t get to choose because white men have much higher advantage. Mostly this isn’t fair because as a women I feel like it should also be equal and we should have the same thing as them not because of our race and gender. Also men are also trapped in the web just because of stereotype as you are a men you shouldn’t be crying saying that they should be strong but strong people can end up crying as well. As I think about patriarchy tells us that we don’t have the power men leads the women have to follow they have no right to say no to it. We also get judge for us wearing something that we want would show some parts the way we dress like wearing a skirt and showing too much are meant for them but no we wear them for style. Women are trapped and can’t escape but really wanted some privileges’ they only want because some women can’t even stand up for themselves even if they had gotten raped because some people don’t believe what is happening to them and are they saying the truth even so they won’t believe even though these things did happened to them living in such world makes me feel disappointed in boys that don’t admit what they have done and especially when a girl is drunk especially that’s the time they take advantage of them they can even say they didn’t do it. Also I believe that parents would now understand that us women can also go work and earn money not just stay home and do chores anyone can do chores at this point. I have to tell my parents most of the time because the way she tells us you are a girl you would have to do all the chores. When my parents always say you should wash dishes and do chores because you’re a girl your brother he is a boy you know these all are for girl but it isn’t fair most of the time he can relax and play games we do chores and cook. As a women you also have to waste money on pads and these cost a lot they don’t provide them to you for free. Most cannot even afford these like homeless women around that needs them for free we can’t control that we women have mensural cycle it is the way we are born. Some of the time men don’t think we women go through a lot because they think they go through a lot only from working but we go through so much and mostly wouldn’t understand taking care of baby and pregnant ain’t easy you would have to wake up if they baby starts crying and losing sleep. We also deserve in going to school back than we couldn’t do that and now we all can go to school besides staying home taking care of them remembering that only boy’s can achieve their goals and get a job we girls can also too.

I agree on Vanessa Lopez snapshot because the picture really show people that how they think that all lives matter thing doesn’t really prove anything that what have colored people skin had went through. I remember the time when people started saying all lives matter when George Floyd died the Black Live Movement when people started to protest of how he had died from policeman handcuffed him and pinned to the ground by the knee. Many people flighted for his equal rights and they aren’t trying to ask for special treatment overall they are trying to rights to keep them safe and make things fair. But things went a bit too far so much stores got robbed and things were taken. While for the white people they don’t have to ask for freedom while have them and could do anything they wanted and for example when a white person try to rob or kill nothing would happen to them which makes things so unequal and they can get away with many thing’s. While a Black person did something or they didn’t do they get accuse of doing it. As a community we should be able to help each other out instead of being racist in general school, working, and having fun in the park and so there is a place for everyone. While I read the white privilege: unpacking the invisible knapsack tells me about women of color ”After I realize the extent to which men work from a base of unacknowledged privilege, I understood that much of their oppressiveness was unconscious.” As a women it tells us that no matter how hard and the same hours we work and we would always be payed less than men. While being a women I felt like this world is not as good as we think we face many things like rape, getting judge of how we wear, need to sit correctly and the way we sit. How we have to wear dress and soft too. I remember the time where random guy/strangers ask me to have a drink but I was so uncomfortable and I had to distract him so much I was close to home but didn’t want him to know where I live so I make him go that was he touch my body and hold my hands super tight I had to do something I was scared that I would have died this day because of what he done to me he also asked for sex and dragged me and I got scared. I never go home that late till that day even though I didn’t even went home late it was only 7 and that person was so random appear out of no where. And my parents got me pepper spray because of this situation that happened and I escaped because these people appear he let go of me i started to run for my life. I experience it so that is why I am scared when I go outside by myself I was so careful.
