In FEMINISM IS FOR EVERYBODY explores feminist views on issues such as women, sex, sexual orientation, fertility, marriage, partnerships, and parenting, as well as views on female beauty and masculinity. Hooks emphasized the criticality of feminist theories, especially the self-critical consciousness of feminism. She combined gender with class, race, and other power relationships for thinking, analyzed the differences within feminism, and analyzed love based on unequal gender relationships and feminists’ demands for love.
In Sex & Gender 101, it is said that gender identity refers to how a person thinks about themselves about gender. Gender distribution and gender identity do not always “match”. If a person feels that their gender identity matches their gender distribution, they will be considered cisgender. For example, if a person feels that their gender identity does not match their gender distribution, they may think that they are transgender, or gender-queer, or non-dual, or gender inconsistent. The gender pronouns someone uses are an aspect of gender identity—whether someone wants to be called “she” or “he”, or use neutral pronouns such as “Z” or “they, they, and them.”
After I read the two articles, I feel that gender is very important for each of us, and the times are evolving now. Some of us were girls when we were born, but as we grow up, we will have mental thoughts and want to change gender. Nowadays, some people are discriminated against because of homosexuality, and some people are also discriminated against because of transgender. But in my opinion, these changes are all normal. Why should we discriminate against others based on our own opinions?

Hello, I agree with you. “Some people are discriminated against because of homosexuality, and some people are also discriminated against because of transgender”. Why should people change themselves to be accepted? Throughout the year the LGBTQ+ community is still being mistreated and treated less than. It’s even worse in the Hollywood industry, being denied a role or being paid less than for being themself. LGBT+ is one of the groups of people that are scared to be who they are based on how society treats them as sinners. I read online, people getting denied jobs based on your gender, getting criticized for dressing a certain way base on your gender, a male is supposed to dress masculine that include suits with ties, no skirt or legging or jean short, those things make them look too feminine, that means that they can’t run a business properly. Society makes it out that men are supposed to be in charge and women are supposed to be at home moms, they are not cut out to be in the real world, men deserve to make more money than women in the same jobs, women are not as smart as men, men experience a more difficult problem than women according to society because a women job is to look pretty. Females are presented in a demeaning manner from their dressing, roles, and character. They show only their sexuality as their greatest asset and potential they have. It denies them a chance to compete with men and makes them think they can only rely on their sexuality.
Thanks for this. It does seem more like a response than a snapshot. In the future, try to move away from words and convey your ideas in another form of expression.
