1. 1 hour on Grammar Practice Units 1&2 + post your writing in Asynchronous Assignments/ Grammar by commenting on my post (you have 1 week to do this)

2. Select 1 paragraph from A.I. Here, There, Everywhere. Summarize it, paraphrase it and respond to it. Post your work in Assignments.

Thursday, 3/2:

HW Review + Text 1:  A.I. Here, There, Everywhere/ Summarizing and paraphrasing + Writing an introduction: hook, topic + background, thesis or statement of purpose

Asynchronous/ In Your own time before class on March 7th

1. Summarize 1 paragraph assigned to you in our lass Notebook

2. Conversation 3 : Summarize and respond to text 1: A.I. Here, There, Everywhere + reply to 1 classmate

3. Add at least 3 words or phrases to the class glossary and provide definitions and examples

HW Review + Bing’s A.I. Chat: ‘I Want to Be Alive: summarizing, comparing and contrasting, on Perusall and class notebook.

If you have time: finish reading A.I. Here, There, Everywhere, focusing on the part about LOVE.

The Online Search Wars Got Scary. Fast. New York Times technology columnist encounters the darker side of Bing’s A.I. chatbot. Click on the transcript as you listen to the podcast.

Take notes on: 1 thing that surprised you, 1 thing that you can connect to the article ” A.I. Here, There, Everywhere.” and 1 thing you’d like to know more about. Be ready to share your notes in class on March 9th.

Thursday, March 9th:

HW Review + Individual summaries + Quoting, Summarizing. Paraphrasing, MLA and Avoiding Plagiarism + definitions

On your own: Do the benefits of AI outweigh the risks? Write your answer here.
